HINRICH J. WOEBCKEN
CEO of the North America Region, Volkswagen and
President and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
Hinrich J. Woebcken is the CEO of the North American region for the Volkswagen brand, where he oversees all activities in the United States, Mexico and Canada. He is also President and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (VWGOA); the U.S. operations of a worldwide family brands including Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Volkswagen, as well as VW Credit, Inc. Woebcken assumed both positions in April 2016.
Prior to joining Volkswagen AG in January 2016, Woebcken worked for 30 years in the automotive industry for Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs. He spent more than 10 years with the BMW Group where he held senior leadership positions, including Senior Vice President, Driving Dynamics. Additionally, Woebcken was a Member of the Executive Board and CEO Commercial Vehicle Systems Division at Knorr Bremse AG and has held various management positions with Krauss-Maffei AG and Dürr AG.
A native of Germany, Woebcken earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Applied Science, Rosenheim Germany, in 1985.
Senior Vice President, Sales
Ronald Stach is the Senior Vice President, Sales for Volkswagen of America. In this role, Ron will have responsibility for U.S. sales regions, retail programs, and fleet and remarketing. Ron will report to Mark McNabb, EVP & Chief Operating Officer, Volkswagen of America.
Stach most recently served as Director, South Central Region for Volkswagen of America, and brings over 25 years of experience in automotive sales, sales leadership, network development and aftersales.
Executive Vice President, Communications, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
Mario Guerreiro is Executive Vice President for Communications for Volkswagen Group of America. In this role Guerreiro is responsible for all aspects of communications for the Volkswagen Group and Volkswagen brand in the United States. This includes corporate media relations, brand communications, all public relations campaigns and internal communications. Guerreiro assumed the position in October of 2014.
Guerreiro came to the position with over 20 years with the Volkswagen Group. Following his career as a motoring journalist for various publications in his home country of Portugal, Guerreiro joined SEAT, S.A., the Spanish car manufacturer owned by the Volkswagen Group, in 1990 where he was later appointed Director of Communications in charge of the company’s global communications activities. He moved to Audi AG in 2006, where he was appointed Audi’s Director of Communications for the US West Coast based in Los Angeles. Most recently, Guerreiro served in the role of Head of International Communications in Group Communications at the Volkswagen Group headquarters in Germany where he oversaw global product and corporate communications, coordinated the communications between all Group brands and was responsible for looking after Volkswagen PR managers outside Germany as well as the international media.
Senior Vice President, Marketing
Vinay Shahani is the Senior Vice President, Marketing for Volkswagen of America. In this role, Shahani is responsible for leading all aspects of marketing for the Volkswagen brand in the United States.
Shahani joined Volkswagen in late 2013 after almost ten years at Nissan North America, where he held various management positions in marketing, sales, and manufacturing, most recently as the Director of Marketing for the Nissan Brand. Prior to that, Shahani worked for Sun Microsystems, Arthur Andersen and Ford Motor Company in a variety of marketing, management and engineering roles.
Shahani attended the University of Michigan where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and also Stanford University where he earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering.
DR. HENDRIK MUTH
Senior Vice President, Product Marketing and Strategy
Dr. Hendrik Muth is Senior Vice President, Product Marketing and Strategy. In this position, Muth oversees all Product Marketing activities which include the current and future Volkswagen brand vehicle portfolio for the entire U.S.
Before joining Volkswagen of America in 2012, Muth lead the Sales & Marketing branch of Volkswagen Consulting, as well as the Product Marketing and Communications department of Volkswagen R GmbH / Volkswagen Zubehoer. Within Volkswagen of America, Muth successfully expanded the R and accessories activities. Since 2014 he was additionally responsible for portfolio and pricing for the Volkswagen brand.
A native from Germany but with US family ties, Muth graduated from Universitaet Karlsruhe and holds an MBA degree from Temple University, Philadelphia and a Doctorate from Universitaet Siegen, Germany.
