HINRICH J. WOEBCKEN
CEO of the North America Region, Volkswagen and
President and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
Hinrich J. Woebcken is the CEO of the North American region for the Volkswagen brand, where he oversees all activities in the United States, Mexico and Canada. He is also President and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (VWGOA); the U.S. operations of a worldwide family brands including Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini and Volkswagen, as well as VW Credit, Inc. Woebcken assumed both positions in April 2016.
Prior to joining Volkswagen AG in January 2016, Woebcken worked for 30 years in the automotive industry for Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs. He spent more than 10 years with the BMW Group where he held senior leadership positions, including Senior Vice President, Driving Dynamics. Additionally, Woebcken was a Member of the Executive Board and CEO Commercial Vehicle Systems Division at Knorr Bremse AG and has held various management positions with Krauss-Maffei AG and Dürr AG.
A native of Germany, Woebcken earned a degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Applied Science, Rosenheim Germany, in 1985.
Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
Mike Beamish is the Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. His career with Volkswagen began in 1988 when he accepted the role of Organizational Development Specialist with Volkswagen of South Africa. Over the past 20 years Mike has held various positions of increased responsibility in the field of Human Resources, including areas such as Learning and Development, Organizational Effectiveness and HR Operations. He also spent three years within the Volkswagen Brand in various operational positions.
A native of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Mike attended the University of Port Elizabeth where he received a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in industrial organizational psychology.
STEPHANIE C. DAVIS
Chief Compliance Officer, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
Stephanie C. Davis is the Chief Compliance Officer for Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. In this position, she is responsible for directing strategy for and driving a culture of compliance and integrity that ensures adherence to legal and statutory requirements and the highest ethical principles.
Davis joined Volkswagen in 2017 with more than a decade of experience in compliance program and process design, implementation and oversight in corporate, advisory and academic settings in the United States. Most recently, she served as a Director in the National Forensic Practice at KPMG LLC.
Davis is an adjunct professor at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida.
DR. MATTHIAS ERB
Chief Engineering Officer, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
Dr. Matthias Erb is the Chief Engineering Officer of Volkswagen Group of America. He is responsible for all engineering activities in the North American Region.
Erb joined Volkswagen Group in 2003 and has held various management positions at AUDI AG and Audi of America. In 2008, he started leading the office of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen AG in Salzburg, Austria. Erb had also spent several years as a lecturer for Quality Assurance at the University of Mainz, Germany.
He earned degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics at Aachen University of Technology as well his PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
Senior Executive Vice President for Public Affairs and Public Policy, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
David Geanacopoulos is Senior Executive Vice President for Public Affairs and Public Policy of Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
Mr. Geanacopoulos joined Volkswagen in 2003. Prior to being named to his current position, he served as Executive Vice President for Public Affairs and General Counsel.
Prior to joining Volkswagen of America, Mr. Geanacopoulos was a Partner in the firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, & Feld in Washington, DC. He served as a Legislative Assistant to the U.S. representative Edward P. Boland (D-MA) from 1977 to 1983.
Mr. Geanacopoulos serves on the Board of Directors of the Center for National Policy and of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers. He is a member of the Advisory Board of VSA Arts, Inc., an affiliate of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Mr. Geanacopoulos received a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) from Harvard University in 1977. He received a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Georgetown University Law Center in 1983.
ANU C. GOEL
Executive Vice President Group After Sales & Services
Anu C. Goel is the Executive Vice President, Group After Sales & Services for Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. In this position, Goel oversees VWGoA’s after sales strategy, including parts sales operations, parts and vehicle logistics, workshop service and technology, CRM and market research.
Anu has over 30 years of total supply chain management, operational-leadership, and after sales experience. Within Volkswagen Group of America, Goel was most recently Senior Vice President of Parts and Vehicle Logistics for Group After Sales & Services.
Anu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering as well as an MBA degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
President and Chief Executive Officer, VW Credit, Inc.
Horst Meima was appointed President & Chief Executive Officer for VW Credit, Inc. (VCI) on January 1, 2016. In this role, he is responsible for all strategy and functions related to the captive finance companies of Volkswagen Credit, Audi Financial Services, and Ducati Financial Services. Meima also serves as Chairman of the Board for VW Credit Canada, Inc.
With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Horst has held numerous leadership positions in retail banking, indirect consumer financing, and commercial lending. He most recently served as Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of VCI. Prior to that, Meima served as President & CEO of VW Credit Canada, Inc., President & CEO of the former Volkswagen Bank USA, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing, for VCI.
A native of California, Horst Meima holds an MBA degree from the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson School of Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Colorado State University.
Executive Vice President of Group Quality, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
Stefan Schüller is Executive Vice President of Group Quality at Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. In this role, he leads the vehicle quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction efforts for both Volkswagen and Audi.
Schüller’s career with Volkswagen Group spans more than 20 years. He has held various positions under the Volkswagen Group quality assurance department, including 12 years in upper management roles. Most recently, Mr. Schüller was Audi’s Head of Production Readiness, Purchasing. He formerly worked in Volkswagen’s U.S. division as Executive Director of Service and Quality. Schüller’s tenure at Volkswagen Group began in Audi’s Technical Aftersales department.
Schüller also spent seven years as an associate lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen, Germany.
A native of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Schüller obtained a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Hannover.
Executive Vice President and Group Chief Information Officer for Region Americas
Abdallah Shanti is Executive Vice President and Group Chief Information Officer for IT Region Americas. In this role, Shanti leads IT strategy, direction, and operations for all of the countries within the Americas Region, which includes the US, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and South Africa. Shanti reports directly to Hinrich J. Woebcken, president and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America. Shanti also coordinates globally to increase focus on Volkswagen’s technology infrastructure to ensure systems and processes are in place to meet business targets, reporting directly to Dr. Martin Hofmann, Group Chief Information Officer, Volkswagen AG.
Shanti joined Volkswagen with nearly 27 years of IT and engineering experience within the automotive industry. Prior to Volkswagen, Shanti served as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer with ANX. Prior to ANX, Shanti held several leadership roles at American Axle & Manufacturing Inc., where he was Vice President of IT and Chief Information Officer; there his responsibilities also included electronic engineering and global purchasing. Shanti was also General Director of Global System Engineering and Application development at General Motors.
Shanti earned a master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Oakland University, as well as bachelor's and master's degrees from Illinois State University.
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
Jan Vycital is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. In this position, Jan Vycital plays a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy of Volkswagen Group in the U.S. The financial functions of VW and Audi Brand Controlling, Group Controlling, Treasury, Purchasing for the National Sales Company and Tax report to Jan Vycital.
Jan Vycital joined the Volkswagen Group in 1996 and held various positions of increasing responsibility in finance for ŠKODA Auto, including three years with Volkswagen of America as the Team Leader for Sales ŠKODA Auto Latin America based in Miami. Since 2011 Jan Vycital has served as the Head of Sales Controlling for VW passenger car NSC (National Sales Companies) and the NSO (National Sales Organizations) worldwide, based in Wolfsburg, Germany. Prior to that he was the Chief Financial Officer for VW Group Russia, Moscow, from 2007-2011.
Jan Vycital received a degree in mechanical engineering from Czech Technical University in Prague. He is married with 2 children.
Chief Communications Officer North American Region and
Executive Vice President, Communications, Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
Pietro Zollino is the Chief Communications Officer North American Region and the Executive Vice President for Communications for Volkswagen Group of America. He is responsible for communications of the Volkswagen brand in the North American Region and for all aspects of communications for the Volkswagen Group and Volkswagen brand in the United States.
With over 15 years of experience in the communications area, Zollino has held various leadership positions within communications in the Volkswagen Group and other automotive brands, including Head of global Product Communication of the Volkswagen brand as well as Head of Communication for Innovation and Digitalization Volkswagen Group.
A native of Italy, Zollino holds a degree in Physics and a degree in Medical-Physics as well as an education in journalism. He worked as a journalist in the automotive business for more than 10 years.
